Can we solve limited space problems with a dynamic space?


This visualized concept of a complex and dynamic space has captured my imagination.

Can we use this space-in-motion concept to solve challenges that are limited by space?

Farming in the 3rd dimension?

Perhaps not exactly the same concept here but can we use a related formulation of space to maximize the use of farmlands? Today we only use flat, two-dimensional space for farming. Can we think of ways to use three dimensional space for farming? What if the three-dimensional space was moving and shifting as in the images above? Could we maximize sunlight exposure to plants by having the farming area shift?
