Can the U.S. compete with Europe for talent ?

Standard

If you have been reading business magazines for the last few years you know that some industries are expecting a severe labor shortage.

If you’re like me, you digest most future-casting pieces with healthy degree of skepticism. But lately, I have noticed that the prediction is becoming a reality.

We have known for years that the U.S. has been hiring engineers from other countries like India. But what happens when you get countries in Europe calling for top talent from the u.s. and other countries?

It’s hard to imagine that the U.S. will be able to compete with Europe. Last time I checked, the Euro is still worth more than the U.S. Dollar and Europeans enjoy four weeks of vacation every year.

How will the U.S. deal with this challenge? Any ideas?
